In June 2024, our team had the pleasure of visiting Four Roses for a memorable barrel-picking experience. After a blind tasting session, we narrowed down the top three contenders, each offering something unique: a Tier 4 OESF, a Tier 5 OESQ, and a Tier 6 OESV. It came down to a tough decision between the Tier 6 OESV, a 9-year-old standout, and the Tier 4 OESF, which had spent 11 years, 2 months aging to perfection.
After some debate, our team chose the Tier 6 OESV, though it was a close tie with the OESF. This pick embodies everything we love about Four Roses—complex flavors, depth, and a smooth finish. Our team really had to work hard to make the final decision, and we’re proud of the barrel we selected.
