Our recent trip to Ben Holladay Distillery was one for the books, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of Milan and Hemal Patel from OHM Group. A massive shoutout to them for not only making us part of the Kansas City Barbecue Festival but also for their generosity. OHM Group went above and beyond with generous donations to the barbecue vendors who took home top prizes in the competition, showing their commitment to fostering both the whiskey and culinary communities.
Of course, our experience wouldn’t have been complete without the amazing folks at Ben Holladay. Mark E. Carter, Emily, and head distiller Kyle were phenomenal hosts, guiding us through the process of selecting multiple barrels that will be the first single barrel offerings for Florida and Georgia. Their passion and knowledge made the distillery visit unforgettable.
At the festival, I had the honor of being an honorary judge for the cocktail competition alongside Milan, Hemal, Emily, Mark, and others. The creativity and spirit of the competition was infectious, and the friendships we made along the way made it all the more special.
This event was a highlight for Degenerate Wolfpack, and we’re beyond excited to share more about the upcoming release as the bottles get closer to hitting shelves. Stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come!
