We recently reunited for another Shortbarrel pick, this time focused on selecting a Bees Knees single barrel. After chatting with Clinton Dugan, one of Shortbarrel’s co-founders, a few months ago about Shores’ interest in doing a Bees Knees pick, Clinton set aside time in October for us to make it happen.

When we arrived, we were presented with six unique barrels to choose from, each offering a different combination of honey and bourbon finishes. After tasting through the options, we couldn’t resist the wildflower honey-finished Bardstown bourbon that had been aged in a Stagg Jr. barrel. The proof came in around 114-115, and the profile was incredibly sweet, smooth, and packed with flavor.

This pick was a blast, and we’re excited to share this delicious selection with everyone soon. The Bees Knees release is definitely one to keep an eye on!
